New Program Scheduled for October at SIU-Edwardsville

I am super excited to announce a just-booked program on Saturday October 6th at 3 p.m. on the campus of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

The event is sponsored by the (ICASI), which is based in Edwardsville. Though it’s a young organization (2 and 1/2 years old) they’ve already presented fantastic programs on the Italian language, brought Winter Opera to the Villa Marie Winery, presented a classic Italian Carnevale,  and produced a book of recipes and families histories. ICASI also supports Italian language education through a scholarship fund and contributes to a weekly language and cultural history hour on campus during the academic year — all in support of its goals are to promote interest and education in Italian language and history and information on the lives and contributions of Italian immigrants in our area.

Il Risplendore, the Italian language student group, is another sponsor for the
presentation and the history and foreign language departments may be jumping in on the action too.
